2019: The first by-furries-for-furries song to hit number one enters the charts.
Mascot-suit sales soar, but the explicit take on The Lion Sleeps Tonight is largely considered derivative by critics. After a six week run, Jamie Foxx
once again tumbles into obscurity.

Am I the only one who thinks that Jamie Foxx is vastly overrated as both an actor and especially as a musician? He was funny but not die laughing funny back on In Living Color. What Elder God did he sacrifice to?
I have to agree; if he has a skill it’s probably in picking roles with strong scripts – actually, I do have to wonder if he had an agent with just such an ability, who Foxx fired just before Miami Vice.
As for an agent picking roles, I get disagreements all the time about Nic Cage, but I have to believe that he is picking his own scripts. And it seems obvious to me that he has no discernment.
All of which reminds me of the quote from Troy McClure: “I’ve been reading a lot of scripts. Its a cheaper than going to the movies.”
I think Cage is entirely in command of his script selections – his choices are what happens when a comic-geek is left in charge of his own Hollywood career.
(- and I say that as an comic-geek myself.)
