Where It's At
The script for FP #136 is ready to go, but, in the process of editing, our narrator went bad.
I hadn’t been paying attention to her best-before date, and I guess she was actually already a week past due. It’s not a huge problem – I pulled a fresh one from the clone freezer, but it had to sit on the counter to thaw overnight.
In the end it means that Jabber, Part 1, will be going up this evening, with part 2 presented tomorrow, and the next FlashCast on Sunday.
Might I entice you to sample our archives while you wait? How about a tale of a man and his dog – or possibly one regarding a tormented husband?
When you take her out of the carbonite make sure you innoculate her for hibernation sickeness. It turned Han Solo from a rakish anit-hero in the first two films into a goofy lovesick puppy in the third.
Utterly, utterly agreed – I can’t watch Jedi without weeping for Han when he alerts the enemy via the ancient stepped-on-a-twig gag.
I have no idea if it’s true or not, but I’ve been told that Lucas and Ford had a bit of animosity going on after Empire, so that may explain why Solo gets written as a sucker in the end.
Nah, it is just a part of Lucas’ bad writing. Look at how poor Luke somehow senses the good in Vader despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Don;t forget the comedy death of Boba Fett- complete with Sarlaac burp. And of course, I hesitate to mention, ewoks. The whole tone and feel of the film is just off.
Yeah, all too true. Anything else I could add would simply be vehement anti-ewok propaganda.
(I mean, c’mon, they’re short wookies with the ‘e’ sound moved up front!)
