On Graves & Threats
Forget child safety, I miss the days when a toy would flat out threaten you with supernatural murder.
My face feels like it’s been reconstructed in a lab: faster, stronger, better than before.
Speaking of re-purposing – I wanted to point out that the current Blackhall three-parter (The Last Ghost Story) actually began life as a rough draft for a submission to the briefly resurrected version of “Tales From The Crypt” that was put out by Papercutz. I actually prefer the way I’m presenting it now though, as straight prose gives me more opportunity to chew up the clichéd ghostly gimmicks.
Still, it would have been a great point of pride to have Mr. C. Keeper as a reference.
Oh, I miss those Aurora kits. They were fantastic! I had them all and, somehow, managed to survive.
I’d love to pick one up on ebay sometime, maybe once we’re moved and the office is less likely to get smashed. It seems like there are reproductions of the original kits that sell for fairly cheap.
