Slowly returning to the world, watching some Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace during my come back.

Still have a hot iron in my belly, so I thought I’d post up this photo I took, pre-plague, while at the local ice cream shoppe. I have no idea what these would taste like, but I was tempted at the time.
Also, I have no idea who Mollo The Clown is, but I think they’re undervaluing their work.
I’ve become an unwilling participant in our family’s game of flu-based hot potato, in which the potato is internally heated by an atomic reactor and must remain lodged in your lower intestine during your turn. Each turn lasts approximately three days.
Unfortunately, that means no Ruby tonight – hopefully tomorrow, but honestly, you’ll be the first to know once I’ve uncurled from the fetal position.
Blogging in the mean time will be a little random, and likely phone-based.
The picture above, taken during the same walk as the tube-car picture, may be considered representative.
Regular visitors may have noticed that I run an RSS feed on the right hand side of the site containing people I consider to be friends of skinner.fm, or, in some cases, just friends.
I thought I’d take a moment today to point out who those folks are and give them a little extra pat on the noggin’.
If you feel like maybe you should have been on this list, or you’d like your site added to my little RSS feed of friendliness, please drop me a line at skinner@skinner.fm, or leave a comment on this post.
Just a note to let people know that we put up two episodes of Joe Monk last night (Part 1 – Part 2), with the conclusion coming on Friday. This also means that I’m all caught up on my Pulpy backlog, and that’s a pretty nice feeling.
If you happen to be an iTunes subscriber, and you didn’t receive episode 079 auto-magically, you may need to find it in the feed and hit get.
The first item of note is that both Neighbours Part 3 and Melody have been updated to include the full journal scans.
Also, in other Ruby news that might interest fans of our anti-zombie heroine, I took some photos while out traveling this weekend:
Finally, Friday’s Blackhall will be up tonight, but this week’s run of Joe Monk stories will begin to appear tomorrow with a double-episode-Wednesday. I know I promised two-on-Tuesday, but this long weekend wiped us out unexpectedly.
Savour this evening’s tale of a stranger, and tomorrow you’ll have all sorts of space antics to fill up on.
It’ll be a random smattering of micro-blogging till tomorrow morning – in the mean time, why not check out the song below, entitled The Reds, by Flash Pulp’s very own Jessica May?
As a chaser, enjoy this wonderfully surreal Burning Piano Guy.

We’ve finally settled into our new place, although we’re still waiting out the usual suspects as far as utilities go – no internet till Thursday is my understanding. Hopefully that won’t interfere with tonight’s Mulligan story, but we’re sort of playing things by ear at the moment.
The best piece of news is that we (and by we, I mean a trained professional) have corrected the carbon monoxide concern, so everything is safe and fantastic.
Now I just need to figure out where all the light switches are.
Just to clarify, the new Ruby is now up, and available below or via iTunes. Libsyn, our podcast host, had this to say about the issue:
Update [10/5/2010 2:00am EST] The issue has been traced back to a bad DNS record that propagated out to parts of the internet earlier this evening (starting around 9:00 PM EST). The entry has been fixed and all systems should be back up for users everywhere now or very soon. – Libsyn Support Blog
So please put down your pitchforks and return to your mp3 playing devices, we appreciate your patience.
