Ruby Journal Update

Just a quick note to let you know that the written portion for tonight’s Ruby, as well as last Friday’s, will be posted up at some point tomorrow. I apologize about the delay, but the threat of deadly carbon monoxide rearing up and slaughtering us in our beds has caused some issues with the move, and scanner access is still limited.

Thanks, and might I suggest that this is a good time to subscribe to Flash Pulp via iTunes!

31 in 31: Bride Of The Monster, etc.

Poster for Bride Of The MonsterThis poster is way more coherent than the film could ever hope to be. I’m glad they got the octopus in there at least.

Tonight I begin my annual quest to watch 31 horror films over the course of October. It’s not an easy challenge at the best of times, but this year should be especially interesting as we’re still attempting to complete our move and have quite a few social events lined up for the month.

That said – the first movie I will undertake to watch will be Bride Of The Monster, a Bela Lugosi flick. I’ll likely be watching it with The Sevens, so it will have to be the MST3k version. Feel free to watch it at the following link, and, when I write my mini-review, we can compare notes.

Living On The Edges

I apologize for the lack of posting today – I wish I could discuss what’s been eating up our time lately, but it’s one of those items that’s inappropriate to discuss in a crowd, even semi-anonymously. With any luck, our lives will have returned to semi-normalcy by the end of the week. I can promise Flash Pulp on time tonight, at least.

Meanwhile, I highly encourage you to look into Jessica May’s fantastic new posting, a reworking of one of her previously recorded songs.

Tonight's FP/Ruby Departed

Tonight’s Flash Pulp is delayed until tomorrow evening. I apologize. We’re doing a six-part story, our first since Red Mouth’s Legacy. It’s a Ruby Departed story on top of that,  and Ruby requires a little more effort than your average bear – specifically, we don’t have her notebook with us, and recording conditions on the road are not optimal.

We arrive home tomorrow, and you’ll be our first priority.

In an effort to make amends for the delay I’m posting up this sketch Opopanax did after Ruby Departed: Rolling On.
Zombie King

I don’t usually model the zombies after specific people, but #56 happened to be based on a close friend, (who noticed that I’d had him killed before I could break it to him gently,) so Opop zombinated his Facebook profile pic. Oddly, the original is pretty close to the sketch above – the difference is largely in the rotting.

Might I suggest you catch up on the previous Ruby stories while you wait? (Dates are in Ruby-time.)

– and don’t forget to subscribe via iTunes to get the updates auto-magically, as they happen.
